the person in the background is journalist Felix Feneon. (interesting that he & Lautrec are included on the poster... i don't recall Morrissey ever mentioning either... anyone?)

not a bad poster... very nice illustrations.

i can't read the captions completely, but here's what i can make out:

        Jermaine -?-
        'Supporting Moz... since 1985'

Left to right: Wilde, Feneon, Steven Patrick, Lautrec. 'Voices from another -?- implore me to SEE BETWEEN THE LINES!'

The more I read about Morrissey vis-a-vis Johnny Rogan/Kevin Cummins/Michael Stipe/Jake Walters/Jo Slee/Stephen Street et al in print interviews, the more I realize I don't particularly like him as a man or indeed human being.

Although he seems to show great compassion towards pussy cats and creatures of the furred and feathered variety, those of us with merely naked human skin are treated not so favourably. Judge Weeks' remark in the famous court case concerning Andy Rourke and Mike Rourke, that he is "devious, truculent and unreliable" now seens in retrospect like a compliment of the highest order!

Right from the start, Steven has behaved as if the the World owes him a living or a least obliges him a favour of sorts. Cummins got to photograph Him solo and in The Smiths, ONLY if he didn't demand payment up front! Indeed anyone who has worked for Him has either done the work as an act of charity or solemnly swore not to expect payment for at least two years! From record producers, make up artists, backing singers, session musicians, sound technicians, studio runners, to sleeve designers; all have been exposed to his cavalier form of casual 'manana' accounting.

This "I'll pay you for your services in January 2016!" atitude to invoicing and the exploitation of other people's goodwill and kindess, suggests to me that Morrissey is a tight fisted, mean spirited, tight arsed bastard who surely still has the first pound he ever earned, which according to some folk interviewed in 'Uncut' magazine in 1998 was some time back in 1983!

He exploits other people's generosity towards him ad nauseum. From neighbours in Stretford and Wythenshaw circa 1982 who helped The Smiths get 'on the road' literally; to managers and producers like John Porter and Stephen Street, all have felt like Street's oft quoted 'discarded cigarette packet ' when exposed to Morrissey's miserliness, lack of gratitude and downright meanness. He sacked sleeve designer Karen Gough for merely suggesting that 'running up' an image for his famous sleeve designs was 'straight forward' and effortless. How cruel is that?

It might also explain why I don't feel the need to buy the tight fisted bastard's new album (when released) or concert tickets at the Royal Albert Hall for upcoming performances.

Although Morrissey magages to persuade most of us that he is cuddly and loveable, and that butter wouldn't melt in any orifice of his body, people who have been close to him (as above) would suggest otherwise. If you were on fire he wouldn't urinate on you to save your life or anyone elses!

Personally I think he should swan around the shopping malls of Los Angeles and Altrincham in a three piece suits made of barbed wire, not to protect his thinning bruised skin, but to protect the gullible fools who follow him and hang onto every word he says - which in most cases are said in mere jest and not in sincerity!

Hes been around too long at this stage to have the ability to fool someone like me - I can tell you!
