House of Blues ticket sales progress (Score:1)

I went out to Ticketmaster last night trying to buy a loge (balcony) ticket for just one person...to see what good seats they still had available up there. To my surprise (and delight), they were only offering seats in the third balcony (section 400) for those who know the venue. It was the same for both nights. So...either second-market ticket selling companies are buying them up or they're being bought by fans. I hope this is promising because I remember seeing not many seats filled in the loge on the first Vegas night in 1999.

I just bought 1 ticket for Friday night. I tried to buy 2 for Saturday night but none were available.

Please keep in mind that the failure to capture two tickets is not necessarily indicative of a sold-out show. I believe that Ticketmaster (for venues where there are assigned seats) presumes that you want the two seats together so if it can't accomplish this feat, it tells you there are no tickets available to fill your request. At the same time, there might very well be singles scattered about the venue. Another possibility is that someone on-line has locked up the scant remaining tickets during the same 5 minutes that you're trying. :) Cheers!

Vegas... (Score:0)

Eventhough casino venues in Vegas say the show is sold out... they and always hold back a few tickets until the day of for their guests. Ticketmaster sometimes releases tickets the day of as well. I've been able in the past to get tickets for Oasis, The Cure and Moz (but he cancelled this show hours before the doors opened). Maybe I've been lucky. I did manage to get tickets for both nights in Vegas.

I did call the Mandalay Bay and asked them if they could comp me tickets or sell me tickets if I had a room there. They said they didn't have any and had me talk to VIP services. They said the same thing and said to call the venue. The venue said they would be giving away a pair of tickets every friday night in the HoB VIP club upstairs during their friday night back to the eighties night. They tickets they are giving away are for the Saturday show.
