Photo appeal for forthcoming Morrissey book by Pat Reid

Hi there,

I'm writing to update you on the situation regarding my forthcoming book on Morrissey. Basically, the final version is very near to completion and, all being well, should be available in the next couple of months. Then I'll be embarking upon a blitz of readings in the UK (and will hopefully be doing some in the US as well).

I have a request. We're finding it hard to track down pictures of Morrissey that haven't been used before, and so we'd like to appeal to Morrissey fans to ransack their personal collections and email us their original Moz pictures for possible inclusion in the book. There was a brilliant Elvis collection a few years back that was entirely composed of fan snapshots of the King, and I suspect that this approach could work with Morrissey as well. If we use your picture then we'll send you a signed copy of the book, and I'll also send you something special from my own personal stash of Morrissey memorabilia.

You can reach me via ortonesque@hotmail.com (please don't make any attached files too big, though, or you'll nuke my inbox).

All the best,

Pat Reid
Bath, England

Back to this topic, Mr Reid it's *not done* to
come here and ask pics from fans, and you get
the $$$ , at least give those who send pics a
thank you in your book, and a free copy of yer
upcoming book, what brings me to the following,
shouldn't it be released by now [mid 2002 was
    scheduled].
O.t.o.h. it's not clever to bring your book
soon after Kevin's one, maybe you should attend
a few gigs of his upcoming shows and I'm sure
fans would apreciate that a lot more than
pics made in the past tours .

I guess Mr. Reid had to come at the publishers
office last week and had to explain a few
    thing.

Btw, can I get a free copy? [well, I gave a free
    tip]

Pat, you are bone idle. Go out and find pics yourself.

I mean do you think anybody would be interested in a signed book by you. What Moz memorabilia are you talking about? A few scraps taken from the News of the World or whatever.
