Sanctuary Record label rumors spread
The Summer Sonic festival news and recent record deal rumor was picked up in Billboard (first with the link is JrMozart: Morrissey, G'N'R Sign On For 'Summer Sonic' (Apr. 26). Excerpt:
Although the artist is rumored to be signing a new contract with Sanctuary, a label spokesperson said no information about a perspective deal could be released.
The rumor was also picked up by playlouder.com: ALONE WITH EVERYBODY: MOZ SIGNED! Hurrah! (Apr. 24) - link from Makaveli. No source was given, I am guessing they took the unconfirmed posting on this site earlier.

Jeremy writes: I went to a Frank Black show the other night here in Little Rock, and his opening act was a girl named Eileen Rose. She is on Rough Trade/Sanctuary Records and after the show I asked her if she knew anything about Morrissey signing to Sanctuary and she said that she had heard about that and believed it to be true. ---
