Oh my god I am SOOOOOOO lucky! The Garage is like a mile from my flat! All that singing 'Please please please let me get what I want' must have paid off! I saw this news last night and went straight to the website and purchased 2 tickets to meet Andy and Mike!! I can't believe it, I feel like it's one step closer to meeting Moz, meeting people who lived and worked with Him for over 5 years! Wow! :0D

Yes its true. The reason why Andy Rourke always wears his sunglasses ( even at the Cinema, in Nightclubs, in Bed ...) is because he has no eyes.

Please, everybody, there are many things to get excited about apart from witnessing the resurrection of some Manchester graveyard. The only person who has anything halfway interesting to say would be Morrissey himself, but his self-imposed hermitage speaks for itself. Cummins, Rourke and Joyce have jumped bandwagon - everybody knows the latter two (however nice you guys say they are) have publicly fallen out with Morrissey&Marr and I wouldn't hold my breath on what they have to say about the Smiths.
The Smiths will be a cash cow for some time, as WEA have discovered well ahead before them. And god knows what supremo has-been Tony Wilson has to do with this all - I thought he thought New Order and the Happy Mondays were the best to come out of Manchester.

Dearest Everybody, especially Jacques and Andy,

thanks for your candid observations. I you use a dictionary to avoid further mis-spellings of my alias.

All I wanted to say was that its rather pathetic that the two least influential members of the Smiths will share their loving memories of a band that has been dead for over a decade, and that all that lives on (ie their music) was Morrissey and Marr's work and that they before anyone else carry the legacy of the Smiths.
I do appreciate that bass players and drummers are very important in a band and that the Smiths' unique sound owes to Joyce's and Rourke's contribution but the Smiths would have never been without Morrissey and Marr.

And if you call me a twat, I sincerely hope you get stuck in a traffic jam on the M1.

As much as I love them and their musical contributions, everytime I see them prostituting their short stint as Morrissey back-up, I have to turn and walk away. It's one thing to relive an incredible moment in your life, and it's quite another to rekindle it solely for income...
