I was surfing mp3.com and I found a band that is so Morrissey influenced, I can't help but let other Mozzer's know about them They are called "estep" and they have played shows with well known acts including Sweet and Tender Hooligans and Girls in a Coma which were once mentioned on morrissey-solo.com. I downloaded some of thier music and I must say that they have a clear Moz influence with a bit of Housemartins/Beautiful South in the mix.

You can find them at

El Paso and Morrissey connection (Score:0)
Looks like there are a lot of people who like Morrissey in El Paso. It is rare that city is not mentioned with out Moz or Morrissey attached. The band is really good and you can tell they make no bones about thier influence.

Estep is going to be huge. I am not saying that because I am from El Paso, just because it's true. They are fucking brilliant.

Finally I find an(unsigned)band where you can actually hear the smith/Morrissey flavor. I agree the music is brilliant and believe you me, from how these lads have replied to my emails they are truly "charming men". Tonight I'll raise my glass and toast them and thier city.

All these nice comments, but only 1 track on MP3.com with just 7 total plays. Does anyone else smell something fishy? Is there the slightest possibility that this group is attempting to use the kind services of morrissey-solo to fabricate a buzz about themselves?
