Morrissey mentioned in love affair on "Subway Q & A"
An anonymous person writes: In the New York City metro area, there is a cable TV channel called "Metro" that runs a show at night called "Subway Q & A". A guy with a microphone and a camera roams the subway trains of NYC quizzing people on the spot and interviewing them, sometimes staging contests with commuters while riding the train.

The question for a five-minute segment was "Have you ever been caught cheating on your boyfriend/girlfriend?" They went through several people, who gave their confessionals and the details (who they got caught with, etc.). One young woman in her late 20's/early 30's confessed that she had been caught cheating with a guy from her gym. When asked why she did it, she said (and this quote is close, not perfect), "He was gorgeous and looked just like Morrissey of the Smiths. I was really liked the Smiths a lot." They then flash a picture of Moz on the screen and play Smiths in the background as she further recalled the details of the affair with her Moz-look-alike and the resulting breakup with her then-boyfriend.

Kevin Cummins book in Fohla online article (Brazil)
An anonymous person writes: An article from today's "Folha Online" (WWW version of Brazil's most important newspaper) about the upcoming "Smiths and Beyond" book. There's a Moz picture (Oscar Wilde t-shirt) and some info on the book and author Kevin Cummins. The article was highlighted on the site's main page.

Morrissey's everywhere on DIY SOS (BBC 1)
Little Miss Curious writes: I have the TV on in the background, and 'This Charming Man' has just been played twice on DIY SOS.. (might as well get their money's worth) the guy's house who they're decorating seems to be a mature student - and he's wearing a Smith's t-shirt! And then he complains that Morrissey (i.e. his t-shirt) is getting dirty these days (well, he IS doing the DIY in it!)

I saw that programme too! The bloke had a blue "Hatful" t-shirt on. Seems like a cheap way to have your house renovated, as long as you don't mind some gentle ridicule about your soft furnishings and lack of DIY skills.

Do you really need really poor workers to visit your home to hang wallpaper when...Well, hanging wallpaper is also very much like making love to a beautiful woman. Clean all the relevant surfaces, spread her out on the table, cover her with paste, and stick her up. Then you clean your brush, light your pipe, stand back and admire your handiwork.
