The inclusion of Bowie's, Life on Mars is a great choice. Suprising but in a good way.
Now onto suprising in a bad way-The Strokes? This list is for "all-time" isn't it? It is hardly an instant classic.

OK, the Strokes might be OK, but the tenth best single OF ALL TIME?

Jeeze .... what about "The Drowners" by Suede, "Range Life" by Pavement, or about any other single in my collection. The Strokes are overrated VU copyists who only have 11 songs, and I can't understand the the UK music press is so obsessed with kissing their arses. They're the Backstreet Boys of indie.

Erm...I like all the songs on this list, but it reads more like the tracklisting of a mix tape than the top ten singles OF ALL TIME.

What I want to know is what does a sitcom from the 80s about two Harlem kids living with a wealthy man and his daughter is doing on Best of list for 2001 records?

Ok that wasn't funny, but I still think that Casablanca fella is about as cools Mr.Drummond
