There is also an article in French, more about Muse than The Smiths, where they basiclly say that both versions are really good.

    and sounds too forced. My advice? Tackle another song. Redo a more obscure smiths tune. Surely you will pull much more out of your endeavour.

      But not exactly earthshattering either...whether I like the guy's voice or it really annoys me, I can't yet decide. And why is it that nearly every band and their respective moms cover "Please Please Please" ad nauseam when there are so many other Smiths songs which are so much better to begin with? IMHO, which counts for absolutely nothing...anyway...
