I usually have a very open mind as far as the things Morrissey gets himself into, but I guess this one kinda blows my mind!

So Morrissey's extra weird life plot thickens. A 42 y.o. on a romantic comedy. I don't know what to say except for:
1- I'm not entirely surprised;
2-Jonathan Richman already did the cult pop icon cameo thing;
3-from the artistic p.o.v., absolutely nothing but new songs matter at this moment; I wonder if His Mozzness really should use his genius, time and energy on a movie. Not as bad as hanging out with Courtney, but still.

After seeing Morrissey in Brookside (a English soap) years ago, I hope his acting skills have improved.

A decade ago Morrissey was set to appear in a film set in sixties gangland London. That film failed to materialise and I suspect that this film will fail to materialise with too.

...Apparently Morrissey was asked to re-enact the famous orgasm scene from When Harry Met Sally - this is because he is listening to the new REM album. Shortly after the waiter approaches Moz and asks what he would like to eat. Morrissey points to Stipe on a nearby table and says 'I'll have what he's got!' The waiter then replies 'I'm sorry my friend you cant't have that.' Moz looks bemused. 'It's called talent!' says the waiter.

Stipe then points at our Moz and begins to snigger.

As a long time fan of the IMDB, I can tell you that listing Morrissey in the cast may mean nothing more than a Morrissey video appears in the background of a scene or that he performs in the background during "the big concert scene".

Lets just take a hard look at this...! He has time to make a movie and not a new album!?? don't get me wrong, I am totally looking foward to see Morrissey in a movie, but what about an album! has life in Hollywood taken him from his duty to record his "Ready-to-be-recorded" material for his devoted fans? Oh, how I've told myself from time to time to just wait and you'll be hearing an album very soon, but I finally said it "Moz where is the new album, I cannot wait any longer, I'm getting anxious! give your cat away for a few months! Why do I feel, that later on they're gonna say Morrissey declined to do the part after reading what he had to do in the movie, or that they casted him without his approval, that someone casted him without his knowing or something like that. I mean it be great if he did do the part, but I just have one of those feelings that he's going to decline that part later down the line or something.

What if he would appear in a scene that involves kissing, or maybe even sex!? I certainly would start to sob loudly in the cinema! My whole outlook on the world - what's left of it - would crumble! I mean, that would mean that I have to kiss people to, or maybe even take part in certain indelicate activities!
