Muse cover of "Please, Please, Please..." on "Not Another Teen Movie" soundtrack but not in the film

I noticed an asterisk by the song, which wasn't next to any of the others. Below, it read: "* Not in Film." Which figures.

Bastards.

Unable to resist, I bought the thing, and as expected it was like most Smiths covers. It only made me wanna listen to the real version. Ah well. I take it it's there because that song was in the Ferris Bueller movie.

    What song was in the Ferris Bueller movie. I haven't seen it in so long I wouldn't remember.

    I di remember Please Please Please was in Pretty in Pink.

      The beginning of the song was in the movie "Never Been Kissed" a few years ago. Just the instrumental beginning bit was used in a scene at a high school prom during which a "nerd" comes close to being humiliated as she dances with the "coolest guy in school." This movie could be categorized as a teen one, so that could be why a cover is included on the Not Another Teen Movie soundtrack.

        I think it's also in Pretty in Pink, and someone told me it's IN the Never Been Kissed movie, but not the soundtrack.
