Just thought I'd let you know that in EastEnders (A British soap) they were playing "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" in the background in the Queen Vic Pub. The episode went out tonight (29/11/01) so unlucky if you missed it. It's nice to know the producers are fans and that no one had any complaints about the Big Guy being played, although I know that Moz ain't a fan of the old British soap.

A few years ago, probably around 1992 The Smiths and Morrissey were always on Eastenders. They were played in the pub, the cafe, everywhere. It must just depend on what a single person likes at the time. I did find it interesting though to hear Michelle Fowler crying to "This Night Has Opened My Eyes" at home. I think she was a Smiths fan, it was probably her who kept putting them on in the pub and the cafe.
