Morrissey-solo in 'Les Inrockuptibles' (Sept. 11)

There is an article by David Glaser on Morrissey-solo in issue 304 of French rock weekly 'Les Inrockuptibles' (11 September). It is titled 'Momo pas solo' ('Momo non solo') and it shortly describes the aim and content of the site and also gives some details about the activities of its founder (sometimes quoted).

Here are some quotes (rough translation):

"It is one of the most active sites dedicated to an artist who hasn't released any record for more than 4 years."

"I know him personaly even though I don't feel comfortable in his presence because I am quite reserved... He sometimes sent me his own statements... but I don't pretend to be his spokesperson: this is not an official site".

D. Glaser seems to be very impressed by the abundance of the Smiths/Morrissey archives avaible on or via Morrissey-solo, and by the enthusiasm and dedication of the fans and people visiting the site (as if we didn't know).

The article is illustrated by a small close shot portrait of Morrissey from the 1991 session by R. Monfourny.

    Whatever.

    To get into the pages of 'Les Inrockuptibles' is no mean feat. Especially when you take into account that this is a non-english speaking music weekly.

    Can anyone validate this article? It would be interesting to know if this is true, and it would be even more interesting to know if the creator of this website really does "know him personaly". I don't know why, but this really interests me...

    Am I sad? Um, probably.
