Henry Rollins mentions Morrissey on the Howard Stern show

Henry Rollins appeared on Howard Stern's radio show this morning (Aug. 21). I turned on the show in the middle of the interview, but it seemed that Howard was reading from a book or interviews with Rollins - basically looking for controversial or humorous items to talk about. The old quote by Rollins regarding Morrissey came up again. It's something like: "He makes me want to dress up in my sister's clothes and run around the house."

I was interested in Rollins' comment. He said, "I like the guy. He has a good sense of humor." After listening to Rollins talk, you really could decipher his sarcasm. His statement about Morrissey was sincere. Very surprising.

i was surprised by the following:

    1. that Howard even caught the reference/pulled the Morrissey excerpt. proof that Stern stills acknowledges Morrissey.

    2. and that Stern & Rollins both refrained from an all out assault on Morrissey.

of course rollins has a fascination with morrissey, and vice-versa...they're both middle-aged closet cases whose careers are less-than-relevant. they have much in common...

Rollins is a talentless hack. Most of those socalled artists use Morrissey's reputation & persona to comment about in order to come off as if there just as important to the world of music. We all know there not.

Henry Rollins rocks! His energy in concert can only be likened to Iggy Pop. Pure unchained emotional power. He fills the between song time with social anecdotes and musings that will harmonize with your own views. You will find yourself thinking "Yeah!". If you just look at the guy and hear a song or two you are missing the real Henry Rollins. He is in many ways similar to your typical Moz fan. He's a thinker and instead of drudging in misery like Moz does so well, he decides to make a last stand as he realises how miserable reality is. If you see him live you will leave changed. I just saw him a few weeks ago again at the State Theater in Portland, Me and he tore the place down.
