Morrissey's stand on religion?

Warren Allen Smith writes:

On the Web, Celebrity Atheists states that Morrissey is a non-believer. However, I would like to confirm this for a paperback I am in the process of writing (CELEBRITIES IN HELL, which will start with Steve and Woody Allen and go on to Peter Ustinov and Frank Zappa--in short, the good guys where theologians who invented Hell would send there . . . but Hell is non-existent.

So far, all I have is the following, which will appear between listings for Yehudi Menuhin and Jim Morrison if I can develop the listing:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morrissey [Steven Patrick Morrissey] (22 May 1959- )
Morrissey, a recording artist, has gone on record as being a non-theist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But I need (a) confirmation of the birthdate, and (b) any documentation where Morrissey has said he is an agnostic, atheist, rationalists, freethinker, Unitarian, pragmatist, or whatever. Or a note from Morrissey himself to me at 31 Jane Street (10-D), New York, NY 10014.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

      When he was at the signing in New York last year, he had a very nice crucifix hanging around his neck. There is also quite a large one, Ive seen in photos for an interview, hanging in his home on the mantle. He said his goodnights at the Beacon theatre show last year with "I love you, GOD BLESS YOU". None of which are certain indicators of what his stand is, but I'd say it points in the direction of believing in God or Christ. Afterall I believe Atheist means a person who does not belong to a certain religion and not neccsarily someone who does not believe in a god or higher power.

            At no time. I am a seriously lapsed Catholic. It was at the usual time, 10, 11, 12, after being forced to go to church and never understanding why and never enjoying it, seeing so many negative things, and realising it somehow wasn't for me. I can only have faith in things I see. I could never be converted to Buddhism.

                Morrissey is quite clearly a Witch. Everybody knows that. Was he not begotten of a Smith?

                Do I have to spell it out for you?--

                He spends much of his time with the other two young female members of his coven (is he the Crone? or the Maiden?), and people often refer to his work as his ‘Craft’. He has a black cat (cunningly disguised as a tabby), combs his hair into a black ‘warlock’s peak’ and has repeatedly stated that one day he will be burned at the stake for his beliefs. It’s obvious. The Crucifix and Virgin figures were originally pagan symbols anyway, immorally stolen by the Christian church in order to poach (not burn) members of the nearest Temple.

                If we want to be quite sure about this, to hedge our bets I suggest that we capture him and take him down to the village pond to fling him in. If he floats, he is clearly made of Wood* (weighing the same as a duck) and must therefore be a witch. I am quite sure that these wise ways of science will clear up this simple matter.

                What we then do with the soaking wet, bewildered and shivering (but strangely magical) Morrissey should be left entirely up to Tibby…

According to the bible gay people were to be put to death, then there was Sodom and Gemorrah, which god supposedly destroyed because of their wickedness (guess what they were doing, think sodomy). Gay people who attend church/profess a belief in the bible are the biggest idiots going, I wouldn't insult morrissey by labelling him as one.
