I thought this was interesting.

Radiohead's Ed O'Brien made this statement in the June 2001 Mojo:

"My suggestion for OK Computer's follow-up had been to say, Let's go back top the well-crafted three-and-a-half minute song. I came from idolising The Smiths in the 80's and I thought that would be the shocking thing to do. It was really difficult because, as a musician, I express myself more emotionally then cerebrally."

The article also mentions the Radiohead song "Knives Out" pays homage to the groups teenage infatuation with The Smiths.

i'm also a big Radiohead fan,and it's very beautiful for me to read that there's always a connection between all my miths!!(by the way,the third is Michael Stipe!)infact,i've discovered the Smiths after have read a Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien interview in which he said that when he was a teen, the only thing he listened was the Smiths,he completely identified himself with Morrissey's words..it's the same for me,about Smiths-Morrissey and about Radiohead..they are both the best band of each their period!
