Hi!

I work for a publishing company and we are thinking of doing a book on fan stories about Morrissey and encounters they may have had with the man.

If you have any stories and are interested in being a part of this possible project, please email me at mozsmiths@hotmail.com.

Please email as soon as possible so we can decide whether this is a worthwhile project!

Thank you!

I sit at a computer good many hours of the day and occasionally show up to concerts, out of state, to be trampled on.

Not exactly the stuff of journalistic dreams

There was a book of that name which fitted this description published a few years ago: one of the writers died a few years back, I think. It is quite an interesting book, with some very interesting and odd stories in it (probably contributed by some of the posters here). There is one wonderful story about a woman being stopped by a police officer in her car while she is playing a Smiths tape; the officer quotes the lyrics back to her while taking down her details. . .

Needless to say, a high percentage of the "secrets" fall into one of the following two categories:

    (a) I was very lonely and I thought that there was nobody out there like me - and then I heard the Smiths; and

    (b) I had just gone through adolescence and then I realised that I had a secret: I was gay!

    etc.

Still, an interesting read. I should dig it out again . . ..

I have to say that the only book that appeals to be worth reading would be the one written by Morrissey himself. I don't think there's much point to anything else, much less this drivel. One day, I am sure that Morrissey will write us a rather gripping and amusing tale..of music, love, fame, hate, talent and friendships. Regards, Hazard

      What about another DVD (Score:1)
The books do begin to become overdone. It would be so nice to see a dvd documentary on the man come out rather than another book.

What an introduction to Morrissey that would be for the newer fans. Footage from the Smiths in their heyday through Morrissey solo coupled with interviews of fans and the man..mmm.

its called "all men have secrets", its quite funny but very over sentimental.

men and women contributed stories from 1983 upto when the book was published, (1996) i think.

a must for smiths fans as not many books have been outed.

the good - refreshing thing is that the stories are from all over the world............
