Dave, I have a question.

This new Journal thing, obviously a wonderful forum for those of us crying for attention and who feel that our lives ought to be recorded and read by the masses, in essence what is "Morrissey" than that? Exactly. My problem is this - Currently you can only see a Max of your past 50 posts, which is very constraining to the ramblers among us, and makes it difficult to call up text for memoirs and such.
Well first that ought to be Remedied if possible -
Second is the Journal going to be the same - you ought to be able to see all entries not just the past 50 - I mean do you archive messages? Is it just for performance, if so, perhaps we are being too strict.
I'll have you know that some of the greatest things were written by young men and women in thier youth, if you got rid of that at only showed the last 50 writings of the great writers, our literture would amount to babbling manuscripts about nurses, medication and Florida.
Come to think of it, that might not be so bad.

Oh well, do what you can - and have a happy and healthy Fathers day.

Yes, David, thanks again for all the trouble, and the reward is to know that the site is getting better and better.
I'd like to add some comments about the difference I already noticed, for I used to be a programmer in the past and I know that sometimes such comments, as boring as they generally are, can be useful.
1) Apparently it's much faster, though it's impossible to say anything for sure so soon.
2) I noticed something strange: sometimes (about 90% of the time) when I join the site or when I hit the "main" option, the only post I can see is the last one in the main page. Then I hit "refresh" IE and I can see all other posts again. I'm using the version 6.something of IE btw.
3) A somewhat "late" suggestion: that when we are answering or adding comments we can see the original post in the main page that we are answering to get the right references.

So here I go again:
I noticed that the major list in the journal can only list 15 nicks, so some entries are lost very soon, and that will get worse when the number of writers increases. Perhaps it would be a good idea to add a scroll bar to the list so all nicks can be seen and accessed? I dunno if it is the same issue that Smiths addressed in his post, but I think that I'm referring to a slight different problem here.
Really, sorry for bothering that much. Btw, the problem with just seeing the most recent post in the main page is happening less often now.
