Moz's Ivor Novello - TV piece

Stuart Goodwin writes:

Not too sure what channel it was on as I was severely jet-lagged and disorientated, but I caught a programme last night (May 29) on one of the UK cable music channels about the Ivor Novello Awards. It included footage of Moz's Outstanding Contribution award a few years back handed out by Anthony Newley, complete with poncey bow tie, followed by the all-too-brief acceptance speech: "I'd like to thank Anthony Newley, and John Marr/Maher of Wythenshawe"

I'm certain it won't have been the first time it was aired, but it's the first time I'd seen it.

      What an amazing award. (Score:0)
Just a note for the file, that this truly is such an amazing award for a UK musician - Morrissey, and family, must have been extremely proud. I don't really think many in the UK understand what it is - outside of the music world that is.

Money counts for nothing, really. This is the
ultimate accodolade for our own wonderful singer/songwriter, Mr Morrissey.
