I've just created and uploaded an MP3 of Suggs covering "Suedehead" on an old recording of mine, I thought it may be of interest to you guys. Note the "Our Frank" lyric.

What a great and *musically* orginal cover. The slow beginning and constant piano throughout are a really nice touch. I like Suggs.

That's what I've always said! Suggs is a GREAT singer with a GREAT taste........I remember seing him picking his '10 of the best' on Vh1. He said that he remembered how moz used to get really slagged off for being miserable when in Suggs opinion most of the things moz do are very tongue-in-cheek. He picked 'Suedehead' but said that he's always been very fond of 'The Last of the Famous International Playboys'........As far as his cover version of 'Suedehead' is concerned then I think it's almost as good as moz' own version - it's definitely original!

in case some of you didn't know, suggs did quite a lot of stuff with morrissey back in the early 90s including backing vocals on 'sing your life', 'get off the stage' and the fantastic 'piccadilly palare'. also, the bass player from 'madness' (bedders) plays bass on 'kill uncle'.

I remember seeing this cover version on telly in Britain. I think it might have been something like the jonathan ross show back in the early 90's.
