I saw OKGO opening for They Might Be Giants, and became an instant fan! I found several of their shows online at www.dcn.com (as well as many other bands, check it out!). Anyway, at their show at 7th Street Entry on 4/13/2001 they opened with a great version of "Panic".

You can watch the whole show at www.dcn.con, and visit them at www.okgo.net.

This has nothing to do with TMBG or OKGO or even Morrissey, I just wanted to say hello to another Minneapolis person.

I know this place (in the winter) is not the best place to be in, but the venues here are just great. Best of all, most of the venues here (with the exception of Fine Line) you can buy directly from the clubs or music stores to avoid the "service fee" of Ticketmaster.

I've always been impressed at how cheap concerts here are: mostly under $10. Sometime even free, if they give out complimentary tickets (well that is if you want to go to the random shows they hand out). Sometime it sucks, like for the Grandaddy, which I got a free ticket later after I had paid for it ($8).

I feel like a travel agent now.

Are you torn in two when I talk to you? Because I'm torn in three when you talk to me.

I, too, am happy to see a Minnesota reference. I feel so isolated, knowing no true Morrissey fans around here. I agree about the venues and the scene, and wish I had been at that show!
