"Diana-Morrissey Phenomenon" site mentioned in Fortean Times

Dagenham Dave writes:

Fortean Times, the UK-published 'journal of strange phenomena', gives a mention to Dave Alice's Morrissey-Diana prophecy website in issue 144 in its wry column The Heirophant, which puports to report on 'disreputable' subjects. The address is quoted and Moz is described as "singer in eighties indie band, The Smiths". The Heirophant adds some typically knowing observations "from his fortress of arrogance deep below the Himalayas".

Nice to see my fave artist unexpectedly cropping up in my fave monthly magazine about absurd goings on.

What utter rubbish. Who reads Fortean Times anyway? Ooops, you do. Anyway, "you've been in the house too long", methinks.

Here, a Mr. David Alice assures us, may be found hard proof that Morrissey, former lead singer of British indie band The Smiths, foresaw every detail of Princess Diana's death and set it all down in a couple of the band's singles and his own solo efforts. It's all a bit involved, inevitably, but pulls in such disparate threads as alchemical terminology, the films THE L-SHAPED ROOM and CARRY ON CLEO, and Hubert Selby Jr's LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN. Perhaps someone should send Mr Alice a copy of The Normal's 'Warm Leatherette', which has even more starkly prophetic lyrics - "See the breaking glass/in the underpass"...
