I found it very annoying to have all you people judge Morrissey for "not attending the ceremony" and such without knowing nothing!

No Morrissey, well I wasn't surprised. At least he was mentioned by Bono. He said that Kirsty could be classed as a great songwriter, up there with Morrissey. Johnny Marr talked about her backing vocals on "Ask" at which point they showed a still of Kirsty with Morrissey. Various people talked about her parties where she would play music from her old style jukebox. I'm 90% sure that the picture embedded into this jukebox was of Moz - did anyone else notice it?

Morrissey looked old in the photograph they showed, was it taken around the time of 'Ask'?

The show featured many of the interviews that were previously heard on the Radio 2 tribute. For anyone who didn't catch the Radio 2 tribute it's now online @ www.bbc.co.uk/radio2. It's a really good show with Johnny featuring much more than on the TV tribute. It features an interview where Kirsty states that working with The Smiths was her favourite session work.

Janice Long also recalls one of her last moments with Kirsty was when they were driving home after dining out and they were singing very loudly to a tape Kirsty had which featured a lot of The Smiths. I wonder if she sang along to 'Ask' :)

The VH1 tribute tonight looks like it will only feature archived footage and interviews with Kirsty herself, no Morrissey.

BTW I didn't discover until recently that Kirsty sang on 'Bigmouth Strikes Again'.

PS - she had the 'The More You Ignore Me...' encased on the top of her jukebox - what a gal!
