Salford Manchester featured in movie "East is East"

I was watching the recent movie "East is East" last night and the whole movie takes place in Salford, Manchester in 1971. It was filmed in the area by the Salford Lad's Club. You can tell by all the dark red brickwork that the tracts are made from. I was fortunate to visit there in 1998 and that is the area the video for "Stop Me if You've Heard This One Before" was shot.

This site is fantastic and the commitment of Moz fans to contribute news is truly unique but this story is two years old. There was also a full documentary about Ordsall's own "Coronation Street", the location of the boys club around 16 months ago. If you were "lucky" enough to visit the area then you will have noticed the shell of a failed Burger King drive-thru and a trading estate where the its spirit used to be. Don't visit, just share the photo's.
