No, Morrissey is NOT touring (response from 102.1 The Edge)

I work at the "102.1 the Edge" in Dallas with Jesse and I almost made the same mistake she did on the air Sunday afternoon. Billboard.com didn't change the codes on their website this weekend so if you went to their website, it made it look like their was an announcement about a tour. Well if you look at the date of the article (Jan. 5, 2000) and if she had read the article thoroughly (it mentions Morrissey's appearance at cochella as "last year") then she'd have known better. It was an honest mistake on her part. Sorry to all of you for the confusion and getting your hopes up.

      great no tour thats just swell "why do i care about those who dont even care if i live or die" well i sort of new it was to good "'it was so predictable it was expected'" yeah thats what is was!!!! someone once said something like that wonder who? well moz fans maybe 2002 hu?? i think morrissey should really get to work they say he working at it but two years come on moz "give in to the lust, or heaven knows we will all be dust hu?" forget about the money do it for us it maybe the last time you will have the chance. your not getting younger!!! show us you still got it!!

          Good..Morrissey Should Be Touring Anyway (Score:0)
          Morrissey can't get away with another tour without new material. It was ok last year to do a "Best Of" type tour, and it reminded people that he was still alive and ticking, but he never capatilized on the success of that tour. He should have went into the studio and recorded immediatley after that tour. I don't care for his BS about "I have no label". We all know Moz has probably had a few decent offers, but most likely turned them all down because they weren't good enough for King Moz.

          Beggers can't be choosers Moz, you only have yourself to blame for your current state. Record an album, release it this summer and then tour all over...but don't even think about touring without new material. You are above that.
