Morrissey to tour in Feb. / March? Large radio station confirms Texas dates

Today while driving listening to the large "alternative" station in Dallas 102.1 The Edge, Jessie the DJ at the time stated that our Moz will finally be gracing Texas fans with three dates in late February or early March as a part of his national tour. I called the station to confirm that these statements are fact and Jessie the DJ assured me that the man himself has confirmed the tour.

UPDATE (Jan. 8): Must have been a Y2K bug -- the DJ got the info from an old article mistakingly posted at Billboard.com according to this response from someone at The Edge.

        well i do sure hope that moz is coming back its been a while this is great "good times for a change" yup yup life is easier when moz is coming to town i just hope the tickets dont sell quick i dont know what i would do if i couldint get tickets???? and also i hope he plays for places with general admission i hate seats you cant corwd surf!!!!! ok moz play where there is general admission

                  Yay!!!!!!! I live in Dallas and also listen to the Edge. But I have not heard this. Oh how incredibly wonderful this will be!!!! I was heartbroken when he did not come to Texas on the last tour. But lonliness makes my heart fonder for his return.

                      Well, if it is true, good luck. I hope u enjoy it. Look at me stuck here in lowly England, no chance of him returning here again :-( Get back here and shake that mic lead round with ur receeding quiff once more Moz. But, how can he tour without a record company??? That was the question posed in the Manc siting a while back????
