Dan Butt writes: The excellent Schneider TM cover of "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" came in at a very respectable 8th place in the annual Festive Fifty listeners' poll on the John Peel show on Radio 1.

    The Schneider TM (forgive me if this isn't the correct spelling!) cover of 'There is a light..' is dreamy and delicious. It will be too easy to curse and criticise this, but at the end of the day, it's probably the best Smiths cover I have ever heard (and there's been a few) and it doesn't seem to have lost the original sentiments that were created back in the 80's. What a beauty!
