Not exactly Morrissey-related but still quite close is what The Daily Mail (UK) writes in its edition of November 24:
Oscar Wilde, having died at 1.45pm on November 30, 1900, at the Hotel d'Alsace, 13 rue des Beaux Arts, Paris, will be remembered at this place by an exquisite band of admirers. It will include actor Sir Danald Sinden and the former Tory MP Gyles Brandreth. The latter said: "I'll be there both as an admirer of Wilde and the official patron of the group "Lesbians for William, a small but feisty group of women campaigning for a Tory victory."
Lesbians for William - that's really something...
