Since the inception of the Salford Lads, people have been asking if we play our own material as well. This is a note to let everyone know that the time is now, as the Salford Lads will be making our debut as SADIE on Saturday, October 14 at Tiswas in NYC. As always, DJ Nick Marc will keep everyone's feet moving before and after the set.

Here are the details:

SADIE Oct 14th @ Tiswas

I think the Salford lads are just plain deaf. (Score:1)
The bloody Salford Lads, they got away with playing as a tribute band, and that is ok, but we just can not let them keep playing all those horrible covers, if you plan to play a The Smiths song in front of an audience, then play it properly.....if not, then just play it for yourself, or maybe not at all.

Did I just hear that they will play their own material soon?.....shameless, I wonder if they have a bit of consideration for our sake.

Has anyone ever told them that they are a terrible, terrible band, and if that is not enough, they also dress badly.

The Salford Lads were an amazing band to see live, and since they played the covers in their own style, i can only imagine how good their originals will be!

At to the boy who thinks they're bad dressers, lets see your wardrobe! How many other bands do you know clad in Prada?

How did you get your name? Is it taken from the Suede song? Needless to say, I loved your live show, and I'll certainly be there!

Thank you, everyone, for your enthusiasm regarding our upcoming pop event. As always, we promise to sweat blood onstage, and give you the grit, grime, and glamour you've come to expect from us. In regards to those who want to "beat our ass", that is completely understandable. We all have very spankable asses. So everyone find a babysitter, and join us on Oct 14th. Ruffians and pretty petty criminals are all welcome.

I attended Sadie's debut at Tiswas last night and left impressed! I particularly liked the snappier numbers, such as the one about middle school. (I failed to snag a setlist!) There were some chronic Don Hill's technical problems which made hearing the lyrics challenging and the gave the lead guitar a subdued sound, but they served to highlight the artistry happening on the bass, rhythm guitar and drums. The lads wore their influences on their sleeves on a few of the numbers, or, in Jesse, the lead singer's case- on his bare arm and tummy, too.

I really think we have some great music to look forward to from this new incarnation of our favorite Lads! In the past, they've proven their admiration of all things Mozesque and Smithy. In the future, I'll be sure to watch and listen as they develop their own voice and begin to sing their own lives. I strongly encourage you to get out and support Sadie! Nice work, lads!
