Update (Sept. 23): As noted in the comments below, the photo is by Anton Corbijn from a session in 1994 (other photos from the shoot appeared in this April 1994 Details interview, archived in The Arcane Old Wardrobe). Also as noted in the comments, the scan is taken from Amazon's site.

                      I immediately recognized this and climbed up into the musty attic to find it. A picture from the same shoot appeared in "Details" in April of 1994. He's looking down at the puzzle in the shot. The caption? "The Pope of Mope contemplates the puzzling enigma of Elvis".

                          this sleeve is one of the most beautiful thing i have saw. yes, it's billy, and a picture o elvis near his hand. i'd love to know more details about the picture. morrissey sounds like a pilgrim, resting in the wood, after a long jorney.

                            As a Graphic Designer, and as a Mozzer I must say I love the cover, I can finally say that I really love the packaging for once...as opposed to just liking it.
                            It is obvious that this is the best designed piece to date.
                            Plus the colors and the imagery is really kick ass and minimalistic.
                            I am really going to enjoy having this piece for it's aesthetics and for it's content as well.

                                    Details magazine yes! Everyone is forgetting that the statue has the words "Ignore Me" written on the bust's bust. If you look real hard on the scan you can make it out. Billy Fury and Elvis for sure. This is a slightly different photo than that one that appeared in the magazine. he was looking down at the puzzle in that shot. The one of Morrissey playing with the puzzle of himself is equally great.
