Jody Cone writes:

Yesterday I talked to the college rep for Reprise Records and she told me that a Morrissey Best Of.. album was due out at the begining of next year.. and it would include one new track! Also she told me they had signed New Order and Depeche Mode and that we could expect new albums from them at the start of the new year.

i can hardly contain my excitement. ONE new track? Not a live version of a previously-released song? Reprise must have the best interests of the fans at heart when making this new compilation. Hopefully this one will come complete with the tacky badge!

How many compilations do we need?
The smiths had 6: hatful of hollow, the world won't listen, lounder than bombs, best...I, best...II, and singles

Morrissey has 4: bona drag, world of, suedehead, and my early burglury years.

This is getting ridiculous. Didn't Reprise turn down releasing "suedehead, the best of" 2 years ago to come up with something 'better'? Now they're going to turn around and release a 'best of' with a new track. How about the dozen or so unreleased tracks that they have sitting on the shelves? I don't think i'll be first in line to buy the newet offering from Reprise

I'm pretty sure New order are still on London records. All their side projects have been dropped and picked up by various labels but London's not about to let the one time biggest group in Europe go.
