Why are legendary bands contributing to the distinctly ordinary Pumpkins' tribute album? Is this a joke!

Ok, they have some lovely songs - such as 1979, ironically inspired by New Order. But Billy Corgan is a nasty cunt (and a bloody ugly one at that). His voice sucks, but some of the songs were good.

It's really weird that half of the bands they were inspired by - Depeche Mode, The Cure, the usual British bands Americans seem to love are on here. Freaky!
