Nora Peters, who bought the non-fat dairy creamer for the coffee served to Stephen Street on Feb, 13th, 1988, will be making an appearance in her backyard on July 18th at 9:23am. She will be collecting the poo droppings from "Alex and Shadow", her two big black dogs, who are also rabid fans of the Smiths. A clip of one of Rita's films from the 60's, where her hair is bouffant peroxide is used in The Smiths video for Girlfriend In A Coma.

I wonder if Steven is still a fan?

I've seen Smashing Time about six times and it's wonderful. It's one of only a handful of films that really caught the atmosphere of Swinging London.

And if you haven't already you MUST, you MUST see Rita in A Taste Of Honey. When you see this film
everything about The Smiths and Morrissey make complete sense. There are great lines and great performances in this film. It has dated considerably, but was considered shocking and provocative on original release.

When you look into Rita's eyes you are hynotised.

I'm so glad she is still remembered after all these years, hope Our Steven pops in to say Hello!
