I just found this at www.everything2.com - it's a song called "Clown Fucker" and it's a tribute to Morrissey from humorist Dana Gould. You can find it on Napster, it's really silly but really fun. (more) ------- She awoke in the night and to no surprise The man of last night had fled Stains of white grease paint on her body that ran From her toes to the top of her head The alarm stung her ear, she rolled over to spy Much to her chagrin and her dread A crumpled red nose and two oversized shoes Strewn by the side of the bed chorus "Clown fucker! Clown fucker!" That's what they said "Clown fucker! Clown fucker!" That's what they said "No, never fuck a clown, dear," that's what mommy said "No, never fuck a clown, dear," that's what mommy said She went to the bar and she started to drink She drank and she drank and got drunk She walked up to him and said, "How could you leave?" But all he could do was honk She knew it was over, it sunk in just then It was time to say "it's the end" He walked out the door and stepped in a car With forty-eight of his friends... repeat chorus --- davidt: I didn't really get it until I heard the song - he does it all in a Morrissey impression and before the version I heard, he says, "...I love Morrissey (like a brother), and I wrote a song for him and he didn't record it, but if he ever did, he'd never have to record another song because this is the prototypical Morrissey song..."

Anyway, as David noted, the lyrics by themselves aren't that interesting or humorous. But I must say that I've always thought that Dana Gould does some hilarious Morrissey impersonations. I used to live up in the S.F. Bay Area, and there was a morning radio host on VILE 105 who used to have his comedian friends in to visit and plug their shows. Dana Gould was a semi-regular and he'd do silly tie-ins to Morrissey impressions that are hard to explain now but were really funny at the time. One of them was him singing in the tune to "Ask": "Morticia's nice, but Morticia can stop you..." (Addams family) It was cool that they had on guests who actually knew and understood the music that was championed by that station in the 80s and early 90s (post-'92 it was all downhill much like KROQ)
Gould did a funny advert (I think it was Gould) to promote Morrissey's Halloween concert at the Shoreline in 1991. They used the background music with howling dogs from Piccadilly Palare. Gould's Morrissey impression voice over went something like this: "Hello, this is Morrissey. Whenever I'm in San Francisco I'm usually far too depressed to listen to the radio, but I heard it was tuned to VILE 105. Oh well..."
