Prince cites Morrissey as influence on "Larry King Live" (?)

 I looked through the Larry King transcripts but couldn't find Prince anywhere. Did anyone see this? ms_smith86 writes:

Although I didn't see the show myself, I was told that when asked about who was his musical/songwriting influence, Prince said something like... "Morrissey, because he's never been afraid to sing his life."

UPDATE- June 16: According to the transcript linked by Fransendirk in the comments, the person mentioned was Morris Day not Morrissey.

    I believe last month under another topic I mentioned reading in PULSE magazine (free at Tower Records) that Prince said during an interview that he liked Morrissey's songs. I don't remember his EXACT words, but that's the gist of it.

    as you will see, nothing on morrissey...

    my boyfriend is a big fan of Prince, and knows for a fact that the artist did not mention Morrissey publicly.

    However especially the lyrics that Morrissey writes are something that prince could relate to because of the intimacy of it.

          Morrissey and Prince - has there been a link? (Score:1)
          I remember reading in VOX Magazine some years ago (1994, I think) that Morrissey had actually visited Prince's home and that they were thinking of doing a song together. Does anyone else remember? What happened?
