This is Evergreen Cemetery in Boyle Heights (Los Angeles). Was there this morning visiting family members grave sites and took some pictures of parts that were in the video.

I'm not sure if any of the statues are the exact ones in the video or not. But you'll see the El Pino tree that someone mentioned in the forum. It's at around 1:26 of the video in the background. Also the row of tall thin trees. And the wall of murals that the guys in the video are standing next to a few times. In the video, it looks like you can see some Japanese headstones and there are many Japanese buried at Evergreen.

There have been worse (You have killed me), but this one is nothing but a gif-heaven.

Also (nervously awaiting for critics and punches), I'm a bit sick of Morrissey doing semi-controversial things just to have his fans talking. The bare ass, the almost bare shots, dancing with Jesse... It's now more than obvious to me that he either visits or has someone visit Solo for him.
I never wanted to love a controversial artist, there are hundreds of those, I loved Morrissey because he was authentic, and he's throwing all that away (for me). On top of that, his last albums have not been of my liking, and I dislike his current line-up.
I'm still a fan, or whatever you wanna call it, but I'll be sticking to the previous Moz, going back to the early interviews and the early albums. Maybe with a change in the line-up...

I have nothing about the aesthetics of the video, I love black and white and grainy. I doubt Morrissey sits with a PR to decide whether or not his fans need more fuel, seriously, but I think the fruits of some of his work lately seem (to me) to have more to do with having people talking of controversy than releasing art or expressing his point of view. Then again, this is a man who has often said that artists must, above all, be different. And I disagree with that. Trouble will love you if you release 3 nude photos in a short period of time, I think. It's fine for some people, I just tent to expect more from Morrissey. It's Morrissey! I always have a mouthfull of good things to say about him, but lately it's having more and more to do with his looks than anything else, and I hate that.

Who here hasn't danced with a mop?? :D Look, if I could believe it's a light moment, I'd be happy, even not liking Jesse. Morrissey can dance with Steve Martin for the sake of a light moment if it's up to me. But I don't. After the Les Inrockuptibles interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXxyCCIFLfM [youtube.com]), comments of "how" he was looking at Jesse here or there, and "do you think they", flowed like wine. After one the "nude" photos, comments on "see how he's touching Jesse??" abounded. And I mean, I couldn't care less about the silly comments, God knows I've made a few for the sake of a light moment myself :P , but that's something I accept in the name of good art, and that, to me (underline that), it's been lacking.

Leave me with the "barbarism" dance with Johnny, I'm happy there in my shell.

But all in all, you may be right, except that I'm not having a bad day but some bad years. Some lights in the darkness have been for me "It's not your birthday anymore", "Life is a pigsty", and very little more. Beyond that, when I look at it I find it's all about the joy of new great photos, or old newfinds.

I prefer, and this has just come to mind, the THPGU video. Those type of words work for me if the artist in question is not too keen on making videos.
