I'd far rather he cancel all dates and recovers fully. Then at future gigs we can all concentrate on the music rather than scanning Moz for signs of ill health.

He collapses and is unresponsive, according to HIS people. Then, when the ambulance arrives he's conherent. As a pre caution he's taken to hospital, but is released the very next day. Obviously, he wasn't all that ill after all. I mean the hospital wouldn't release someone after an overnight observation if they were deathly ill, and they certainly wouldn't let him do concerts. So he gets released after a few hours, wasting nurses and doctors time. All this, two days before an album is released. BREAKING NEWS! CNN, SKY, BBC... Media the World over cover the news and Morrissey's name is subsequently all over the media, then his album gets released. Timely.

If he was/is that ill, why is he even bothering with RAH? Could it be because he really wasn't ill at all, but rather crafting a plan to get people talking, just as Swords gets released?

This isn't the first time he's used "shock" and cheap tactics to sell records. Anyone recall his boycotting Canada, just days before the release of Ringleader? That just so happened to make World headlines too. How about splashing his naked body all over the inner sleeve to his last single? News media covered that as well.

He's playing a game, and you're all falling for his tricks. Seriously, he must be laughing himself to sleep, just as you all cry and pray he's okay. It's rather sad, really.

So of all the performers on the planet to collapse, it happens to be Moz, 48hrs before his album hits shelves.but he's okay now, ready to make tons of money at RAH. Really? You all buying that?

Once again I am sitting at home, wondering whether to make the journey to London tomorrow.

                      Here are a few outcomes:

                      1. Make the journey and the gig is cancelled.
                      2. Make the journey and listen to one or two badly sung songs and then the gig is postponed.
                      3. Make the journey and the gig will be brilliant (which is the best outcome, but doubtful, after just recovering from whatever mysterious ailment he had).
                      4. Take a chance that the gig will be cancelled, like last time, and get my money back.

Now there is a way that all this could be saved. Morrissey could, for once, inform his fans of whether he is going to perform and make it official. But, as always, he has left it to rumour and heresay, and the NME to let us know.

Morrissey, it can't be that hard to let your fans know, with a bit of notice. We bought your records, came to see you when things were tough and supported your comeback. So please, please, please let us get what we want. And that involves just letting us know, and being true to your loyal fans.

However, the above comment doesn´t seem to be a crude joke on Morrissey, but a bitter & cynical, absurd snapshot of the press & the public in general & their behaviour when one of their worshipped heroes dies. Not only inspired by Michael Jackson´s death & what was to follow, but probably also by the way Morrissey´s collapse was the big topic in the media all Sunday.
Let´s face it, cynical & out of place as the comment may be - the picture that was painted in it was quite realistic, albeit in some points a bit over the top.

I don´t think the comment was directed against Morrissey or wishing for his death, it was directed against all the people who are greedy for sensations, no matter the cost.

Am I the only one who read it as such?
