Such a brilliant album. One of my favourite bands at the moment. Please, if you do anything this year, get this album.

..but for some reason I cannot get into them. I only have Both Before I Am Gone though. I'll have to give them another try.

Just got their 2nd album last week... its way better then Both Before Im Gone. Its defintly worth picking up. Such different songs, amazing vocals. A must have for the year

What exactly was the nod? I thought it was going to be the book in the still, but that was Kerouac.

myspace.com/girlsinacoma. There a very great band. Amazing live.. even better then their albums. I saw them open for Moz last year and they are one of the top favs alongside the Smoking Popes. They get alot of shit for being girls and for the other two not being very "girlie" which is absolutly ridiculous. Its the state of the world. Unless your a cookie cutter band or have the looks of Miley Cyrus.. then you can't make it. IF anything these girls can at least reach a rock and roll icon statue.

Just my two cents worth which don't mean alot. Just don't think they are a very good band. Plus the video's pretty dire, perhaps that was the nod to moz....a terrible video!

1st the new cd is phenom. 2nd, the new cd is phenom and 3rd, the new cd is phenom and BTW the new cd is phenom.....FYI they are touring with an opening band Miss Derringer they kinda sound like they are out of a David Lynch movie and their new cd is phenom. click click bang bang.

But seriously, they are one of the best if not the best band that has toured with Moz. Cheers girls.

TRIO BC is THE album of 2009. Girl in A Coma's 2nd album is packed with powerful songs. 'In The Day' is reminiscent of Johnny Marr's guitar licks in The Smiths. That aside, this San Antonio trio have a distinctive sound. They have honed their craft on the road by touring incessantly (and not just with Moz). Highlights for me are 'Static Mind'; 'Pink Lemonade' 'BB' and 'Ven Cerca'. If you buy one album this year this is the one!

this group for years. then watched tha video on mute a coupla days ago. 2day my boss played them. listened 2 tha whole album on their myspace. very very pleasantly surprised. jus bought their new record and 7" online. boy howdy... they sure can write good tunes!!! does anyone know if the 1st album is available anywhere on vinyl as well?

Lets face it, if they were not called Girlfriend in a coma none of us would be giving them the time of day. Lets be honest. I know there have been a few favourable posts, but everybody has a few friends, a few of the posts may be first timers trying to build some interest.

their first album is called Both Before I'm Gone. Its not on vinyl but it should be. As for the negative comments... Morrissey took them on tour. He is a fan. Even if they were not called Girl In A Coma Moz would have still been a fan. As for those of you who pick on them because of their image..your hypocrites. You want a band that can change the world yet you want the band to have the perfect image. These girls are different because there not what you expect. There real people.. real looks.. not an image. They are themselves. Joey Ramone, Sex Pistols.. they all were themselves. This band has a sound that is them ,noone sounds like Girl In A Coma. Pick up Trio B.C. and you will see there everywhere in terms of style. Its an amazing album. They already cause so much controversy in the fact that they dont carry an image or they are not a sterotype body clone. Three real minority race females writing and creating their own music and making it. Theve toured with Cyndi Lauper, Social D, Morrissey, Tegan and Sara and carry two amazing records behind them. So for those of you who feel the need to be bitter because you've either failed at something in your life.. or because morrissey doesnt even know you exist can kiss an arse. These three girls have probably done more then you all will ever achieve in a lifetime. Im not a friend.. i dont even know the girls... im simply a fan that was touched an inspired by their music.

I bought Trio B.C. a few weeks back, and I do agree that it is very good. I really like Both Before I'm Gone too, but I think the new album shows them trying to broaden their sound a bit, and it works for them well. Nina has a really great, unique voice, and she also has a really wonderful stage presence. They are also really nice, down-to-earth girls, who actually really love to play music, so I wish them the best. They have also been my favourite opening band for Moz, save the Smoking Popes.
