In the hilarious book "Candy Girl" by "Diablo Cody" (who won in 2008 an Oscar for her original screenplay for the movie "Juno") a list - "The ten worst songs to strip to" - is offered. Last and 10th place is MozĀ“ "The more you ignore me, the closer I get". Her funny explaination says: "Encourages stalkers, and the last thing you want is Freddy the Reg showing up at your day job with a bundle of dyed carnations and a loaded .45."
Convincing, isnt it?

  • It was my first time at a strip club. I'm not into that kind of thing. I don't like paying money for an experience that will depress me and when I leave feeling just as lonely (if not moreso) as I was when I entered.
Anyways, I was in Vegas, and my coworkers thought it would be funny to buy me the first lapdance at Sapphire. She starts doing her thing, and First of the Gang starts playing (this was around the Quarry years). I had to ask her to stop.
I know this sounds lame, but I just couldn't enjoy a Moz song with this hot Asian girl distracting me. Conversely, I couldn't enjoy her with the song in the back of my head. This sounds super gay, but that kind of thing just isnt what Morrissey is about for me. Besides, I doubt he would have approved of such acts himself.
Flame away. Just wanted to share my little story.
