If brevity is the soul of wit, twitter is the bathroom stall of literary culture.

With that said, who here even has a twitter account?

Solo already maintains a very complete and helpful Morrissey news feed on Twitter, and the chances that Morrissey himself has the remotest thing to do with this account are nil. There is, in other words, no reason for this idiotic thing to exist except that someone in Morrissey's camp firmly believes that everyone has to have the latest social-networking doodad to be counted legitimate.

(I am an enthusiastic Twitter user and do follow Ross, Fry, Brand, etc. I'm hardly saying this out of knee-jerk irritation at Twitter; this is just the kind of account that shouldn't happen.)
