  • Buffalo, NY? (Score:2, Interesting)

The only reason he's playing there is so that he can get cash out of his Canadian fans.

Greater Toronto has a population of 5 million people and is only a 45 minute drive from Buffalo, which is a city with maybe 300, 000 people. Obviously, he's trying to get as close to Canada's largest market without actually stepping foot inside the nation at hand. Seriously, who in Buffalo would want to see Morrissey? 50 Cent, maybe.

Morrissey... a pathetic opportunist? You decide.

There is probably some truth to what you say, but I am at least one Western New Yorker that is thrilled to not have to travel to Cleveland or Toronto/Hamilton this time around.

By the way, the city of Buffalo has a population of just under 300,000, but the metropolitan area is nearly 1,180,000. The show is being held at a University with nearly 30,000 students.

  • I saw him play here in 1997 on the Maladjusted tour and his heart cleaarly wasn't in it--he more or less went through the motions. A shame since that was my first Moz concert ever. I've since seen him about a half dozen times in towns all over the US, and I have been very pleased with all the performances. We'll see how fickle he's feeling this time around...

  • pre-sale has been changed by Morrissey's management. pre-sale will now be handled exclusively by Ticketmaster on Thu 10am-10pm for those willing to also purchase a digital download of his new CD. no password is required for the pre-sale. (O/T - promoter and venue will not be receiving any of the CD revenues.) a maximum of 250 tickets will be sold in the pre-sale promotion.

the rest of the tickets will go on sale Fri at 10am to the general public with no password required.

  • I can't order tickets from a Canadian address. They won't let me select any Canadian delivery options, and I can't enter Canadian billing info.

Anyone else annoyed by this? I assume half the reason for him coming to Buffalo is to capture the Toronto crowd (since he doesn't come to Canada anymore).
