This week my radio show The Adventure Club will be a three hour career spanning retrospective of Morrissey and The Smiths. All eras represented. Moz's camp has supplied some unreleased live stuff for me to play. There will be plenty of giveaways including vinyl copies of the Greatest Hits album. If in the LA or San Diego areas you can listen in at 98.7 FM from 7P-10P (west coast time) this Sunday night (3/23). You can also listen online at www.star987.com.

Though I'm an ardent Indie fan these days, it's nice to know Star 98.7 is beginning to open up their format a bit more. Richard Blade's been on Star awhile and it always weirded me out to hear him playing and talking about Top 40 slop. I can't stomach the man (who broke Depeche Mode to the US; Rodney Bingenheimer broke The Smiths here, I think) pitching Jessica Simpson or whatever but I guess he's got a great deal there. Anyway, cheers to Josh! You're our man this Sunday night!

so about 6 yrs. ago my girlfriend had a bunch of moz songs downloaded from limewire. She had a song which I believe to be called "A girl I used to know" but I'm not sure. ( it was not Girl least likely to). Anway the beginning of the song went Oh Melanie, why do you inject yourself in me. So I've never seen it on a B-side I've never ran across it anywhere. Is it a cover?, does anybody know what I'm talking about? The radio guy who announced it on the download said it was a new song, I'm guessing it was circa 92-97. Its driving me crazy and it is such a good song. Anybody?
