Personally I have to agree.I considered it curious that Moz would release an old photo for a new album.Maybe a HITS package demanded an old pic.Hope he didn't pay the marketers much.
Basically,he's got lazy and is possibly tired. Much like all those magazines that continuously place 25 year old photos on the front of their mags and papers...then have the audacity to criticise for the same thing!

Sorry but just what is this rubbish doing here - Lazy AND tired. Come on, the Uncut stuff you can expect to read whenever any 'greatist hits' are released (it is the JOURNO thing to do and say after all) but 'lazy and tired' - this is just a bloody joke and you deserve a kicking for posting that rubbish!!!!!

Morrissey in his heyday would have seen to it that his greatest hits had a really cool cover pic and a funny/ironic title. That he no longer has a "hands-on" approach to marketing is blatantly obvious from looking at his last few releases.

He's going to do what he wants regardless of what the fans and press say. I say let him get it out of his system and wait for the next studio album. That'll let us know where he stands.

They gave it five stars. Even though it was tossed off in much the same way Moz has with this.
I have a theory by the way. Moz has made the Greatest Hits package shoddy to discourage his fans (who already have all the albums) from buying this, whilst keeping his new paymasters happy.
In these downloading days, there's really no point buying a greatest hits for a new song or two unless the packaging is something special. Which this isn't. Maybe he's doing us a favour for once.

Bar a few b-sides from the Quarry era I have been really appalled at the Morrissey output since his 2004 comeback. Cheap packaging, poor writing combined with poorer backing tracks. There is no mystery left with Morrissey he is just an old gay guy enjoying life to much to be bothered to care about his career and yes everyone has the right to be happy but he really should have retired after Maladjusted and left us with the memory.

Thank you for everything pre 1995 but now it's long over.

An utterly pointless release and the luke warm reviews are spot on, seems all very half arsed...no pun intended. The new single just passes me by...i've really tried to like it as i always do with Morrissey releases but i just don't.
Oh well i hope he gets it together for the studio album but i'm not holding my breath.

I smell a serious commercial harvest here.

Already it's fodder for radio air-play in Ireland and there's plenty to make it last, which is excellent exposure for subsequent music.

Tower Records in Dublin have piles of the album on the floor behind the cash-desks, sprung to race out the door first light tomorrow.

A plentiful possee is all set to be chasing the tail of Moz, the Pied Piper, with this release!

Mozz u released some amazing gems in the 90's.
If u r going for chart big placings only - then surely
Alma should be on there at least.

My MAIN gripe is the album of 15 tracks is only 51 mins long. So theres no excuse - u could of put at least another 6 songs on it. (Credible 90's ones)
