Heads-up for Boston concertgoers tonight

Anybody headed to the Boston show tonight should be aware that the Red Sox parade is planned for today at 12:00 noon and will be passing by the area of the Orpheum.

The rally itself should be finished before the time of the show, but there will still be thousands of people in Boston - that's going to have an impact on traffic, parking, and mass transit. The MBTA is advising that PM peak trains "will incur unusual crowding and significant delays".

Also, be advised, many in the City of Boston will be highly intoxicated and trying to dance the Papelbon Jig while singing Dropkick Murphys songs. If these people frighten you, say something derogatory about the NY Yankees, high five them, and keep moving. Don't say you weren't warned...

I am fighting a fiercer enemy, which is possibly a cold creeping up to get me. Right when Moz's show is coming. I am usually never sick! Darn it! I am trying to not let this headache stop me...

Parking should actually be easier (maybe) (Score:1)
The Sox activities should already be over and most of those people will be heading out of town now. Given the traffic and parking restrictions this morning, I bet a lot of people who normally drive didn't do it today. That means less cars in the city and more parking spots for Moz fans.

Any bets on whether he makes any mention of the Red Sox tonight? I bet he will.
