Musical Rumblings: Things That Make You Go Hmm - Philebrity

...BONUS ROUND: Important Morrissey update: Do not get pissed off when Mozzer snubs you at Tattooed Mom’s. He’s a fucking superstar. And if you persist, well-dressed men will intimidate you a la Terrence Stamp in The Limey. It’s fitting, really.

Encounter posted by Expulsion on the message board: philly: morrissey is at tattooed moms.

What is it with the "tatoo"? (Score:1)
I heard about Queen's tatoo, when he was living in California (I don't know if he has been there, Nancy Sinatra said she was), now it's Tatoo's Mom. Is there any sort of connexion, or what are these places bearing the name tatoo in them that Moz seems to driven to anyway (not saying or stating he actually is)?

I thought his joke with the tatoo was funny when Nancy Sinatra said she'd been at The Queen's Tatoo, to which he replied: "I didn't know the queen HAD a tatoo".

The sense of entitlement and access conveyed by these people (who has a friend called minirich?!) mirror that of the guy at the Philadelphia show who was getting on everyone's nerves by shouting at Morrissey comments like 'come here you fruitcake' followed unbelievably by 'shake my hand'.

Everyone needs some downtime; surely that can be respected.

Towards the bottom of that thread, someone posted: "A friend of mine was on the road with a band opening for Morrissey on tour, he left excited and loving of Moz and returned hateful and knowing better."

Someone else who works at the Borgata comments that Morrissey's rider demands are "laughable".

Details, people, we need details!

I just read "the story" that this individual called "Expulsion" has posted yesterday, and all there is to say is that it is the most unbelievable crap I have ever read in this site. This is a very good virtual place to get the latest information on Morrissey (when it's not a hoax), and to read about fan's experiences and feelings, but, frankly, this story was so vulgarly absurd that I even prefer The National Enquire or watching Jerry Springer on TV to that. At least, with these two forms of mass media, you know to expect that people that get exposed there voluntarily choose to do so. But I don't think this poster is even close to delivering a credible story. Will Morrissey truly get nasty, drunk and upset with a couple of lifted middle fingers pointed at him, when he endures much degrading statements than this one? All you have to do is read some of the comments on his recent past shows to easily see how he handled many distasteful situations very gracefully. Do you folks reading this here actually think Morrissey would come back just for this one guy he never met before, who probably means nothing to him, specially after over 20 years of demonstration of fandom? Besides, if Moz was running to a car that immediately took off afterwards, e.g., a car that was fast, do you think he would have been able to see the fingers? And, supposing he had come back to the bar to have a face to face with this guy, how did he show up so suddenly, out of nowhere? Is he an outer space, supernatural creature to be able to do this now? Please, come on, we need some INTELLIGENT articles here, not this textual waste. I never attacked anyone here before, but anyone who believes in this beyond idiotic story is just as disturbed as this Expulsion is. It could be true that Moz was in a bar and took off, but after this point, I think this " imaginative story teller" really lost whatever was left of his mind. Jesus! I am truly disappointed at this site right now.

You hear a lot of bullshit hanging out at bars, but this one takes the cake. This guy's account should have come with the disclaimer "based on actual events" : that being that Morrissey was at a bar after the show. Other than that the rest has Philadelphia big mouthed frat boy drivel written all over it.

Even if a smidgen of it were true, what makes this guy think that he DESERVES anything from Morrissey? He didn't even go to the show. Besides that, since when is Morrissey obligated to be on 24/7? He's a man for God's sake, maybe he just wanted to sit with his friends and have a drink. Just because he's at a pub doesn't mean he has to sit with every John Q and Mary and have a camera go off in his face. How would anyone like it if you went to have a beer and you had a line of half-drunken yokels waiting to gawk at you and tell you how sad they were when they were 15? Let the man enjoy one tiny morsel of normalcy in his life and go back to wanking off over Bon Jovi and Springsteen.

My vision is very blurry right now -- I cannot see so good. I know when I’m around this other person, they are the antidote to the nice pleasant lovely way that I feel -- and they ruin it. So -- I think what probably happened in your scenario was Morrissey was probably around a person or people that he didn’t like-- not you. Then, when he encountered you he was probably already feeling all irritated by the other person who is an antidote to his nice drinks and from this other source that made him feel anxious or just not feel right in the head at that time. I definitely do not think this was what you think happened because I have a saying and you should listen to this ---- things are not always what they appear to be. Soooo in other words he probably does like you but didn’t like a certain someone he was with just prior to encountering you. I know this sucks that this happens sometimes but believe me I know from personal experience that one would have the reaction he did because of the situation he was in prior to encountering you. I am pretty much a very intuitive person - and I think he feels bad and sorry that the other person that he dislikes, that is clearly not you- that, that other person caused the reaction that you got. Believe me things are not always what they appear to be and I know he feels really bad and I know he just hates the other person he was with even though it appears that he liked them. I realize that this is very hard to follow and is also very deep as I am drinking and use all these run on sentences and so on but I always speak the truth when I drink.

The concept of musicians NOT liking to be bothered when they are trying to relax, have their own private time, is NOT that difficult to grasp. I think Morrissey would have been way more respecting of this man's request if he did it with a little more class. First of all, I think it must be a huge annoyance for a person to come over to your table and demand a picture with you- leaving aside the fact that that person is "famous". You are sitting with your friends, having a nice conversation and in comes some person you have never seen in your life, asking to be photographed with you.
I also assume Morrissey could sense this man's character...which was later shown by rude, inconsiderate gestures. Being a known person for more than 20 years teaches one to scan people fast, and determine who is worth it, and who is not. And this guy most certainly was not!
If this man had any brains, he would have waited until they decided to get up and leave, that way, he would have been able to walk up and not interrupt anything. His chance would have been far more greater, and could have been a nice experience.
