Small piece on yesterday's North West Tonight mentioning how the Smiths dvd has shot straight to number one. There was some footage of The Smiths and a very short interview with Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke. When asked if The Smiths were likely to reform, Mike Joyce replied that if Morrissey and Marr were to ask them, then the answer would definitely be yes!!

I will buy this DVD just out of interest but - excuse me for being pessimistic - I don't think it will "reveal" anything or give us any new information other than the stuff we already know. I suppose it will be nice to hear the other lads' side of the story but it's the same same same old story!

yeah, i'm sure what was stopping the smiths from reforming was the fact that moz and marr simply weren't aware that rourke and joyce would be interested. now that they know, i'm sure a reunion is right around the corner!

Ha! Like they've got so much else going on that they might just be able to squeeze in a Smiths reunion.

What are the chances of Marr and Moz ever asking the bastard Joyce to reunite. Frankly if they ever decide to reunite (though the hundreds of times they have said its impossible) they should just reunite as a trio because the fucking Joyce destroyed it.

No two ways about it - Joyce is the pits. He sent me a lovely postcard once in response to a demo tape I took up to his house. I've still got it framed, and I'd never bin it. But he is still a bad man. Such is life. Yamaha
