Details posted in the forums (original post by Stuheff):
As I work in the Media industry I thought I would share with you that Uncut Magazine is doing a Smiths special next issue.

It's out next week.

Also, a post by Maurice:
It's good; I've read it!
Loads of pop people from the last 30 years discussing their favourite Smiths song.
Singer from the Feeling nominates The Boy With the Thorn (‘Morrissey’s most delicious yodelling’!), 3 of the Smiths give their favourites, Marr has written quite a lot of stuff for it. Other contributors include Gallagher, Suggs, Ian Brown, Mani, Buzzcocks, Kook, Bragg, Kaiser Chiefs, etc.
Lots of comments, inevitably, about Morrissey including some on where he is now. All in all, a pretty interesting read…

  • has to be the best "delicious yodelling" by Morrissey by far. I could listen to it all day. I often wonder if he can still do it as good today.

  • Johnny reveals in this issue that "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" was originally called "The Irish Waltz" and "How Soon Is Now" was originally called "Swamp".

  • Swallowneck likes nothing more than 5am on a Sunday morning on the "throne" (after a vindaloo in Sewersby Bridge) emptying his considerable bowels with a good magazine in his hands and I think this edition of Uncut will be a personal fave of his to read on the pot!

  • Did you know male circumcision is an unnecessary and excruciatingly painful ritual, practised in barely no other countries besides the US and Israel?

  • sadly the smiths feature just gives oxygen to the likes of billy bragg to harp on about his own dreary songs.

    disappointing.

  • Good for you. Can't we just use this site for the purpose it was (presumably) set up for? That is, the discussion of Morrissey and all his works? I seem to recall leaving school some years ago..
