[CHICK-ROCK? GOVERNATOR ARNIE IS A HUGE FAN?]

Event Listings - San Francisco Bay Guardian

SATURDAY (3rd)

"Morrissey Ruined My Life" Workspace Limited, 2150 Folsom, SF; 864-6232. 7pm-midnight, $5. The subtitle to this event, wherein action painter Sean Starr creates a canvas to the music of the Smiths and Morrissey, is "A Tribute to the World's Greatest Poet." Excuse me while I barf in my hat. I'm sure the king of weepy chick-rock will inspire equally histrionic swirly canvases from Starr, who also happens to have a piece hanging in the Governator's office. Arnie is a huge Moz fan.

  • Guardian, Time Out, L Magazine, Village Voice...these publications and similar publications (those geared towards music, arts, events) all have one thing in common, their writers love to make fun of events/artist in an attempt to sound hip. Is this the kind of attitude that appeals to today's young? He disses Morrissey, but then what about yourself? What does your publication and writing say about today's youth?

"Wow, you're so cool, you put another person down!!"

  • The Governator's last name is spelled, "Schwarzenegger" not with a "t." Changing the byline to reflect this might help future search engine results.
