    There is also:

    * When the working day is done Girls just Wanna Have Fun
    * Take this job and shove it
    * Everybody's Working for the Weekend

    And of course:
    * I was looking for a job and then I found a job and Heaven knows I'm Miserable now

      - Is he having a laugh?

      How about...

      "...this position I've held
It pays my way and it corrodes my soul
I want to leave, you will not miss me..."

      or...

      "...sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled
Making Christmas cards with the mentally ill..."

Sorry, but the whole background + history to the song is linked (sometimes indirectly, admittedly) to the world of work. The whole Billy Liar thing, his relationship with his record company manager, etc.
