  • I don't think Morrissey will play in the US again, it's just a feeling I have, does anyone else feel the same?

  • His LP got to #1 there.

A lot of Swedish folks like him and appreciate his art.

He wants to dispel the myth of Swedish liberalism or something.

(I met a Swedish bloke on holiday and a Swedish lady. At separate times. I could have had sex with the woman and been beaten up by the man.
    At separate times.
She said "I am a tour rep but I don't have sex with my guests. But I have sex with other people." Kerching- incidentally I was not one of her guests- sadly as Marcel the mime artist I was in no fit state circus.
The Swedish chap was 6"10'. I told him to listen to Morrissey. I am 5"9.)

    I like Swedish people.

Call the Brits and Yanks all you like but at least they have a backbone.

Are those sw races all inverterbrates?

They are all yellow bellies, maybe thats why he fits in.

  • Can anyone tell us what the capacity is for this venue? I went to their website & it's all Swedish (obviously). It looks like a club...which is where M belongs...not at festivals.

  • I am guessing that even though the year is not over, we (USA) will not get and tour dates. Do you think that is why the album is selling not so well here? Could it be the 1 hour sets you play? The almost never changing setlist? The rotation of musician's?

I have supported you over the year's like many of us in the U.S. I even went to that crappy tour you put on a few years ago when you had no label. Bought the rehashed Bona Drag and World Of Morrissey. Jeez I even spent money on Kill Uncle. In short, not even an news yet on a U.S. dates I think is crappy! Even if it is next year, then say so and give us some hope. Do not snub america and wonder why your album sales here are shitty! OH Well, I'll go see Muse this summer......

  • My husband works in the heart of a large, evil corporate empire. The other day he happened to mention that he is a Morrissey fan. This women he works with, very smart corporate type, says: "yeah, you do look a bit like Alain."

As they continued chatting, someone asked who Morrissey was. A security guard proceeded to enthusiastically give selected highlights of Mozza's career.

    We are legion...

    • Oh, that's fabulous. These are the anecdotes I love so much. Morrissey brings people together!

I was once at a moderately trendy, organic, nuts-and-berries type breakfast place in Minneapolis, and the heavily pierced and tattooed guy behind the counter struck up a conversation with me because I was wearing a jean jacket with a bunch of Moz pins. We talked about seeing him in concert and when I asked him if he had any Moz tattoos he promptly pulled down the neck of his t-shirt to show me a Smiths lyric emblazoned on his breastbone. It was awesome. While I'm not preppy by any stretch, I'm also not particularly pierced or tattooed or hair-dyed-black. I doubt this guy would've started chatting with me if not for the shared Morrissey-love. And so I say again: Moz brings people together!

So Morrissey announces 2 new tour dates (within the time that he's still going to be touring anyway!) and people are upset that he hasn't announced US tour dates yet.
    1. AMERICA IS NOT THE WORLD, OK?!
    2. He already did some US dates this year... if you love him so much then go to those!
    3. Be happy for the Swedish fans, honestly!

And anyway, it's not like Morrissey has said he won't tour the US (like he's said about Canada, may I remind you...) so just relax... He'll probably be there in the fall!
